Nazarene
Okay! The journey begins. This morning I attended a Nazarene church. I'll have to do some research on the difference between United Methodist and Nazarene, but I didn't feel much of a difference. In fact, I felt quite at home. We sang several upbeat worship songs to the accomp. of drums, guitars, piano, and keyboard. Words appeared on two large screens at the front. There was a beautiful piano offeratory - there's one difference- we didn't sing a doxology. A woman sang a beautiful solo, and the pastor delivered a very good message. He talked about the lessons Titus, Luke's little brother, learned while in Crete, a dispicable place. Titus learned to trust in the Lord in a spectacular way through his trials with the people of Crete. We all must learn to walk through the valley with Christ and in doing so we draw nearer to Him! As for this particular church, I saw all ages, from the very young to the old. They seemed to be very missions oreinted and like they're growing. It was a very large church, but similar to my home church felt like people really knew each other. My friends and I were greeted with open arms, and one couple even took the time to show us where all of the Sunday School rooms were and which one was the college class and just around the place in general. My friends and I felt very welcome and felt very touched by the message. I hope God leads us to another spirit filled place next Sunday! Fly with Christ!
